The Health Industry is booming. In fact, the Global Wellness Industry is Now Worth $5.6 trillion.
But why are we all paying so readily and so munificently for something that is free and abundant to all?
Could it be that we’re not in a state of disease, but rather a state of complete confusion? Could it be that an industry which earns such riches from our misery and desperation, despite their measured intent and glossy promises, don’t want us well at all?
Could it be that brightly packaged foods labelled as ‘whole’ or ‘healthy’ or ‘sugar free’ are some of the most dangerous foods we can eat? Toxic, and filled with chemicals and additives designs to keep us addicted?
The Keto Diet, the Paleo Diet, the Low Carb Diet, the Warrior Diet? Which one is right, which one do we follow, which do we trust?
The 80s saw the boom of the Low Fat/Fat Free craze which, as most of us know, led to what the media now call the ‘obesity epidemic’.
There is a quagmire of info out there around heath, diets, and nutrition. The health and now renamed ‘wellness’ industry preys on people’s fears and insecurities.
Slimming clubs makes money as they know you’ll be back. Many weight loss retreats make most of their money from returning customers.
“Healthy food” make money through marketing, not through miracles solutions.
If anyone or any company really had a magic answer they’d have no customers, we’d all be cured and all be in a size 8.
For me it’s about healing the inside first, the rest is simple and actually really easy.
